Linux on Apple's iBook

l.u. 18/01/2003

Prae scriptum: I wrote these pages several years ago, and did not revise them anymore recently. The english sucks and the contents may be outdated, but they happen to score many hits so I'm going to keep them available. If you discover errors, please write down.

What do I find here?

This page will _not_ help you for linux-ppc problems; instead, it only regards Apple's iBook[2] computers.
IMHO, >80% linux-ppc users are apple-machine users.
This exist because so far I did not find anything really complete about ibook+linux. Anyway, see links below. iBook moves, and yes, OS X is a great piece of OS, but, you know... linux is linux ;)

Stuff

Here you can find a step-by-step guide for installing linux (debian) on an ibook (ibook2).

Here the document and the photos of my cleaning of the iBook's keyboard.

Here some faq about Linux' PPC port.

Here some screenshots of Linux/PPC.

Here you can find some kernel stuff.
